hats

last year, or maybe two years ago [I cant quite remember] hats were very in. Then, all of a sudden they dissapeared. They were short lived but I recall loving the style. When they were out, I, being unusually self conscious tucked away my adored hats, hoping that someday they would be back in style.
And now, as winter nears, I'm digging out my old knit hats, and returning them to my wardrobe.

Here are my favorite finds:

considering

Recently I've found myself considering other forms of fashion. I used to stick to basics- cardigans, blue denim, plain tanktops, and the occasional necklace. My fashion sense revolved around magazines, peers, and celebrities, their outfits and suggestions my only inspiration. My style was safe, put together, and classic.
And then my life changed. You would'nt believe what kind of turn your style can take with a simple change in your lifestyle. I got into shall we say more dangerous activities, and so my style became more daring and original aswell. I must say I welcomed the change, black tights, black nails, heavier jewelry, skinny dark destroyed jeans, screened tees and choppier hair seemed to suit my new found rebellion, I used fashion as my escape from the ever present conformity of my life- consider now the fact that I go to a private school- with very strict uniforms. I will tell you in advance I pride myself on breaking about every uniform rule there is, and if not completely ignoring the rules, bending them. I stray from conformity because it has for so long restricted my life in every way.
I encourage you, as individuals, to step outside the box. Break the mold. Wear what you like, and live how you want to. This is your life, live it and embrace it.
